This season, the eccentric tribe of Gucci becomes a group of obsessive collectors of art and artifacts. The campaign is inspired by those quirky characters who hunt for paintings, antiques, rare objects and other vintage collectables. Often, they create temples dedicated to their collections. Historically, these private hobbies have sometimes led to the creation of museums and foundations. The images of the campaign are an intimate exploration of this phenomenon and reflect the appeal of idiosyncratic collecting. Likewise, they defend the idea that those people that public opinion considers oddballs are often the most creative and interesting, and that authentic individuality is a source of pride. Each one of the images, set in rooms dedicated to different collections, captures a character surrounded by the objects that they have managed to amass with such eagerness. They create the effect of a window on a series of highly personal worlds in which the abundance and passion of the individual stand out. This narrative is expanded through a film that allows the viewer to discover each character and the objects that he has treasured. The action culminates with the family of collectors gathered to celebrate a happy, bizarre and opulent banquet. #guccicollectors Creative Director: Alessandro Michele Artistic director: Christopher Simmonds Photographer and director: Glen Luchford Stylist: Paul Hanlon Makeup artist: Yadim Carranza
