Gucci is pleased to announce the development of Gucci Places, its initiative designed to invite people to explore the locations around the world that have inspired the home. The first Gucci Place, which has been unveiled earlier this year was Chatsworth in Derbyshire, England, where Gucci endorsed the House Style exhibition. Chatsworth was also the location of the Gucci Cruise 2017 advertising campaign. Now Gucci has chosen a variety of locations that reflect the peculiar taste and values of the house, and has been named: Gucci Places The idea is to encourage people to discover interesting and unexpected stories about these places, and to be part of a community. The Gucci Places program is therefore a network of locations connected to Gucci, which have the quality of being able to surprise, arouse interest and inspire a creative response. The new Gucci Places are: The Angelica Library, Rome, Italy. Castello Sonnino, Montespertoli, Italy. Maison Assouline, London, United Kingdom. Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Los Angeles, California, USA. Bibo, Hong Kong. Waltz, Nakameguro, Tokiko, Japan. To bring the Gucci Places program to life, the Gucci App has a functionality that allows people to get involved in the history of each designated place. The App is configured to use the geolocation services of mobile devices, so when someone is in the vicinity the Gucci Place receives a notification on his mobile inviting him to visit that location. At Gucci Place, the App allows the user to check in and earn a badge associated with it. In this way, you can collect the badges of all the places recommended by Gucci, and you can share them on social networks. The App also provides a detailed description of the place, with texts, images and videos. Users can access an information section, which allows them to contact Gucci Place by email or phone, or visit their website. Each Gucci Place has a section in the App dedicated to the events it is organizing, allowing you to browse its program. In addition, an exclusive selection of products based on those that are part of the Gucci Courrier collection, has been created as part of the Gucci Places initiative. Patches inspired by each Gucci Place will appear on the products, and will be on sale at Gucci Place (when feasible) and at the nearest Gucci store. The patches are inspired by the location in question and reflect the eclectic Gucci aesthetic, incorporating motifs that refer to location - a coat of arms, perhaps, or a design detail of a building. The first products that will wear the Chatsworth patch are on sale at Chatsworth House and the Gucci flagship store of Sloane Stree, London, since July.
